I'm Aaditya Bhave. I'm a first year at Penn State, and I've been taking things apart and building better ones for as long as I can remember. If something looks impossible, or just badly done, that's usually the exact thing I want to make.
Where it started
I’ve been obsessed with robotics since I was about three years old. Blame the movies I grew up on: Enthiran, Real Steel, Robocop, and a whole lineup of others where machines think and move and matter. That feeling never wore off, and honestly everything I build is really just me chasing it.
What I'm into
I’ve lived and studied across the UK, the US, Canada and India, so I’ve picked up a little bit of everywhere along the way. When I’m not building hardware I’m usually developing Roblox games, playing lawn tennis, buried in a book (any genre, I’m not picky), or working with music going the whole time. Lately that’s a lot of Anirudh and Tame Impala. I like doing things the unconventional way, because the normal way is rarely the interesting part.
How my brain actually works
⚡ Wired for the hard stuff
- Reasoning, math, and taking problems apart is where I come alive.
- Routine, repetitive work bores me, and I'll cheerfully coast through it.
- But hand me a genuine challenge and I lock in completely, the kind of focus where hours just vanish. I do my best work when I'm inspired, not when I'm told.
⌘ I direct the AI, not the other way around
- I love building with AI, but I never let it drive.
- I sketch the skeleton first, the architecture and the plan, worked out in my notebooks before a single line gets written.
- Then I bring AI in to help fill it in while I stay in the director's seat, reviewing and steering every step. The thinking stays mine.
Curious by default. Bored by easy. Always building something.
